Cupcakes and Scones

After a visit to one of my favorite restaurants, Cafe Monoca, I stopped by to the new cupcakes and scones shop next door. I was with a group of fun ladies and we were all up for a taste testing!

The shop was super cute and smelled delightful! At the counter, there were a few small shelves in the front with some individually wrapped sweets. A table in the middle of the shop was covered in cookies, cupcakes and other small treats. To the cherry to the proverbial top, they had whatever was freshly baked next to the cash register sucking you in with the smell of deliciousness.

I got a few cupcakes for Mark and I bought a honey scone for myself, which turned out to be the best decision ever! I couldn't resist eating it when I got in the car and let me tell you... holy cow, it was so good. Still warm from the oven, it was sweet and soft in the middle, crunchy on the outside. Perfection!

The prices are a bit high, but nothing that isn't comparable to other bakeries on island. To me, it was worth it! I'm still in search of a great cupcake, but the scones take the cake... or whatever you want to call it. Ha!
To get to the cute, little shop you can follow the direction to Cafe Monoca
From Foster Legion Gate, go straight through the intersection. Go under the expressway and turn right at the first light (the CoCo intersection). Take that road up the hill. When you come to a funky curve at the Onishi Terrace Golf Course, curve to the right. Cross over 146 and, at the fork just after the intersection, stay to the right. The cupcake shop is right next door to Monoca. It will be on the right and parking will be on the left. You'll see the above sign on the right side of the road.
