My brother-in-law and his wife are expecting (very soon) and I had the pleasure of taking their maternity photos over the weekend! I am, by no means, an expert in photography but it is fun to get my camera out and practice. I'm so appreciative to have family that trust me enough to take photos of such an important moment in their lives.
We headed to Toguchi Beach for some amazing scenery. It's the same beach where Mark and I had our very first Christmas session while on island. It's the perfect place because it has beautiful rock formations and can give you the best sunset on island, weather permitting.
Baby boy has a very adorable little sister waiting for his arrival. As you can see, she's going to be a pretty loving big sister! You can often find her saying "baby brudder" and pointing to her momma's belly and, from what I understand, she's the only other person besides his parents that know his name.
It helps that Little C is a ham for the camera and easily persuaded with Cheerios! I was also very grateful that Mark was there to entertain her while I snapped a few "happy couple" photos.
My two favorites
I loved trying to figure out the art of taking a silhouette photo. I thought it would be easier, but it took some practice. By the end, I think I got it... not to say it won't take lots of trial and error the next time that I try it!
Overall, it was fun and I hope that they are as happy with the photos as I am! Every chance I get to take pictures of anything, I'm one step closer to knowing how to actually use my camera. I'm so grateful for that!
