Babypalooza 2016 Recap
Last weekend, I attended Bumbledoo's Babypalooza 2016, "Fayetteville's longest running Mom, Family and Baby event committed to helping expectant and new parents. Bringing you news, deals, tips, ideas, products and services, from bump to toddler." I'd searched high and low for a "Baby Expo" and this one fit my schedule and wasn't too far away... Score!
I bought a VIP ticket for Friday because I wanted to get in on the perks! Every VIP guest was given a goodie bag full of different items - from cloth diapers to necklace charms. We also got a lanyard and if you made a certain amount of purchases you were given special opportunities to win big-ticket items. Also, the VIP ticket included extra raffle tickets for the baskets pictured above. Lots of baby goodness!
There were a ton of vendors to check out, too! I walked around for almost 3 hours just taking it all in. I realized while I was there that it was first time I had tangibly baby shopped -- everything had been online until that day! I'm just glad that we don't know the baby's gender because I would have made many more purchases. I did find some great stuff and my favorite shop was Baby & Bump! All of their items were very "boutique" style instead of big box store stuff.
My favorite purchase of the day was this Little Unicorn backpack diaper bag! I had been searching all over the internet for a fashionable backpack diaper bag that was gender neutral (so Mark would carry it, too) and this was the one! Because I bought it at Babypalooza, I got 15% off. It's also sold out online, which makes me feel like I have a super exclusive diaper bag (#smallvictories).
Overall I had a great time and, if you're expecting, I recommend finding a local event like this one that will expose you to local vendors, Etsy shop owners, and programs in your area that help you prepare for your little one!
