Life around here has been going by very, very quickly! With Mark gearing up for a deployment and Caroline growing like a weed, things are cruising by. Yesterday, we saw a newborn baby and couldn't believe how much our little lady has grown in such a short period of time. It's crazy!
Unfortunately, Mark was gone for my first Mother's Day but my dad flew in to spend the weekend with us. It was a great time! We went shopping, explored a new town, and went on Caroline's first boat ride. Based on the picture, you can tell that she loves her PopPop so much already!
My Uncle TJ and Aunt Kristina drove down for a few days after Mark left for training. They have two little grandbabies of their own so they are pros! My Aunt was the first person that I left Coco alone with and it was incredible to not have to worry about her... and to have the chance to get my hair done! I also took the opportunity to run a bunch of little errands, which seem to pile up when you think about tackling them with a tiny human.
Her first truck stop. hehe

Then, on a whim, I decided to ride with them to Indiana. I stayed for a week and, then, Caroline and I flew home just in time for Mark to return. It was great to be home for a little while and it gave a lot of family the chance to meet the baby!
Mark and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary, too! We went out for sushi and enjoyed an Orion... shout out to Oki... while reminiscing about all of our adventures. Every anniversary before this one was celebrated in a different country. Crazy, right?!
Next year, we hope to be traveling again. Our goal is to see parts of the beautiful USofA that we've never seen before.
Overall, it's been a great few months. We are looking forward to spending some quality time together before this deployment arrives. I'm already making a calendar of all of the fun stuff that will keep Coco and I busy while her Poppa is gone! I have high hopes that I'll be able to pick back on up on the blog - I've really missed it.
